As of July 1, Malaysia mandates device product registration


Medical device manufacturers doing business in Malaysia must deal with a number of new regulations and policies kicking in for 2013. reports that companies will have to register their products, effective July 1, which then triggers the ability of a newly established regulatory body to monitor device quality. Separately, government officials are pursuing new actions to help boost local device company competitiveness, including financial incentives and exemption of import duties.
