Pharmaceutical Innovations got smacked with a raid from the U.S. Marshals Service this week. According to CNN's coverage of the news, the agents seized the company's Other-Sonic Generic Ultrasound Transmission Gel, after the FDA said the product made 16 patients ill because it contained dangerous levels of bacteria. The FDA apparently took samples of the gel in February and found that they contained two strains of bacteria. Regulators asked for the law enforcement help as "a safety precaution," CNN said.
