Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and Ben-Gurion University in Israel are backing the development of three new medical devices specifically designed for children, about a month after both sides met for initial collaborative discussions. They'll support initial research and development for a new smart sensing catheter, a surfactant delivery device and an imaging-guided needle insertion device. Initial funding is small but will help things get started: up to $100,000 in the first round for each project, depending on the achievement of various milestones. Release
